19 Dedicated volunteers donated their time and energy to keep Mille Lacs Lake Clean! Clean up of Ice Fishing Waste was done after ice out. Volunteers picked up two pickup loads of waste on the south side on Mille Lacs Lake, and one pick up load on the north side. Watch for pictures coming soon!
Funding for this project is provided by the Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund, with local support provided by the Mille Lacs Lake Watershed Management Group, Mille Lacs Area Tourism Office, Aitkin & Mille Lacs County Soil and Water Conservation Districts, Appeldoorn’s Sunset Bay Resort, and McQuoid’s Inn.
